Chief Innovation and Information Officer of the Government of Puerto Rico
Appointed CIIO of the Puerto Rico Innovation and Technology Service (PRITS) in November of 2023, by the Governor of Puerto Rico, Pedro Pierluisi, Antonio Ramos Guardiola is one of the youngest members of the administration and rendered in charge of the digital transformation of the island’s entire government among other tasks.
Since accepting, Executive Director Ramos has worked to provide technical solutions to unify services for both citizens and business and facilitate their interaction with the state.
This has resulted in solutions by PRITS such as the creation of IDEAL’s Citizen Services Portal (CSP), which focuses on providing government employees, who assist citizens and private entities, with government affairs and transactions from one place.
Public Servant Ramos Guardiola has been able to use his over ten years of experience in the tech industry to provide the Governor’s administration with over 100 state and municipal angencies with strategic plans to implement state technology-related standards and policies. As well as used ITIL Service Management as a guiding principle to form a continuity in government regarding how services are directed, implemented, and executed.
Single Sign-On (SSO) experience and Data Center Consolidation are just a few objectives that PRITS is doing to pave the way for citizen and identity management in order to jumpstart the private sector and government relationship.
